Founded in April 2016, Fast Form 3D Technology Co., Ltd., known as “FastForm,” was co-established by Dr. Li Shuai, a Ph.D. graduate in additive manufacturing from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Dr. Chen Zhichao, a Ph.D. from a leading Chinese 3D printing research institute. The company specializes in the development, manufacturing, and application of metal SLM (Selective Laser Melting) equipment.
FastForm emphasizes core technological innovation, self-developed slicing and control software, and first-principles-based design, delivering disruptive improvements in additive manufacturing. Its solutions serve aerospace, high-performance industrial manufacturing, mold production, precision medical applications, and other specialized fields. As one of the first Chinese companies to localize critical components and integrate low-level communication and control, FastForm’s equipment reduces part counts by half compared to competitors, achieving significant cost savings.
The company’s devices meet international safety standards, including CE and FDA certifications. Over 1,000 units have been shipped worldwide, securing a leading position in the 2023 metal SLM equipment market and ranking first for new dental SLM equipment shipments.
